I love using nautical rope and knot decor in many of my design projects and am always looking for new ideas and product lines that I can incorporate into my home. Recently, I came across a family run business called Mystic Knotwork located in Mystic, Connecticut that I just had to share. Mystic Knotwork hand makes all of its rope and knot decor items – a tradition that has been carried on by owner Matthew Beaudoin’s family for generations. They’ve perfected the art of macramé, splicing, sennit work, and other fancy knot work to create a variety of home decor items and even jewelry that you’ll absolutely fall in love with.
If you’re “tying the knot” or even just having a dinner party, take a peak at the white nautical coasters, napkin rings, and center piece place cards. If you’re accessorizing a book shelf or desk, a monkey fist paper weight is a great addition. I’m so excited to share with you some pictures I’ve taken of the ways I’ve used Mystic Knotwork items in my home.
I also love the monkey fist curtain tiebacks! A perfect accessory to a nautical or beach inspired room!
Mystic Knotwork also has the largest selection of woven rope sailor bracelets I have ever seen! Traditionally, wearing a sailor bracelet has represented the love of the ocean. Whether you’re looking for a white sailor bracelet, or fashion forward bracelets outlined in bright satin, there is no doubt that you will find the perfect one for you or as a special gift!
If you love all things that are nautical like I do, you will love Mystic Knotwork!
Happy shopping!
